Just a few weeks ago I went to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. My goal was to relax, recharge, ride, and shoot. I accomplished all of them. I spent a lot of time shooting landscapes – something I don’t do very much. Waking up at 5am to catch the sun rise wasn’t as hard [...]
The World Wide Photo Walk was July 18th and I joined in for some fun. The route was around Fairly Poplar in downtown Atlanta. It was a big group of 50 photographers – from hobbiest to pro level – walking around town taking photos for fun. Here are a few of my shots for that day.
We wrapped up the walk with lunch at Taco Mac. I hadn’t been there in over a year… and YES, it broke every diet rule. Of course that means it was yummy
We talked photography and even came to find out that some of us also shared the love for riding. Who knew we had a town called Juliette? Apparently it’s most known for being the movie set for the series “A Killing Affair” and “Fried Green Tomatoes” (which I’ve never seen but most of you probably have). The Whistle Stop Cafe is there. Juliette also has a really cool building that is home to Les White and is now the Old Mill Motorcycle Museum. I made my longest road trip so far on my bike to visit the town last week. Fun ride! Thanks Ken for the tip!
At least I thought so when I noticed this eccentric looking tree in the open field. Looks like the wind was blowing south all the time and it’s branches started to curl up. But there is something graceful about it. It looks beautiful to me.
